This Policy applies alongside our Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and Garage & Vehicle Policy.
1. What DriveGT is for
DriveGT is an automotive network for owners, collectors, dealers and enthusiasts. Content should help members document cars, understand their collections, exchange serious interest and enjoy automotive culture.
Moments supports member photographs, videos, memories and conversations. The Street brings together automotive news, market intelligence, events, featured collections and editorial stories. Neither is a place for unrelated spam, abuse, deception or unlawful content.
2. Content you may share
Relevant automotive content may include:
- Garage and profile photographs, cover images, biographies and collection descriptions.
- Vehicle photographs, videos, specifications, ownership history, condition, originality and documentation information.
- Moments about cars, journeys, automotive memories, events, photography, engineering or enthusiast culture, with appropriate member or car tags.
- Serious private messages, offers, counter-offers and permitted replies or reactions.
- Editorial contributions, historical discussion and other automotive content where the relevant feature permits them.
Follow the limits and audience choices shown when you publish. You must have the right to share the content and describe it honestly.
3. Content standards
- Relevant. Keep content connected to cars, garages, ownership, automotive culture, market intelligence or events.
- Honest. Do not knowingly mislead others about identity, ownership, originality, provenance, condition, mileage, accident history, documentation, value, sale status, availability or business status. Distinguish a personal opinion, estimate or recollection from an established fact.
- Respectful. Discuss cars and ideas without harassing, threatening, intimidating, humiliating or abusing people.
- Lawful. Do not post unlawful material, assist wrongdoing or encourage others to break the law.
4. Prohibited content and conduct
The following are not allowed:
- Fraud or impersonation: fake identities, misleading vehicle records, forged documents, phishing, fake escrow or shipping claims, and pretending to represent another member, business or DriveGT.
- Abuse or threats: bullying, targeted harassment, intimidation, blackmail, threats of violence or repeated unwanted contact.
- Privacy violations: publishing another person's private address, contact details, identification, financial information, private messages or confidential documents without permission or another lawful basis.
- Hate or exploitation: discriminatory abuse, extremist recruitment, sexual exploitation, sexually explicit material or content involving the abuse of children.
- Graphic or shocking material: gratuitous violence, injury or disturbing imagery. A relevant automotive context does not by itself justify posting it.
- Dangerous encouragement: promoting illegal street racing, dangerous driving challenges or conduct that puts people at risk. Responsible discussion of automotive history and lawful motorsport remains welcome.
- Spam or manipulation: repetitive promotions, unrelated advertising, mass messages or offers, fake engagement, and unauthorized automated posting.
- Rights infringement: photographs, videos, music, text, logos or other material that you do not own and have no right to share.
- Payment scams: deceptive demands for deposits, transfers, cryptocurrency or gift cards, particularly claims that DriveGT guarantees a vehicle transaction or requires payment to release a car.
5. Vehicle and garage information
Only represent a vehicle when you have the right to do so. Present ownership, sale status and vehicle details accurately, and correct material errors you become aware of.
- Do not falsely describe a car as original, restored, rare, matching-numbers, low-mileage, accident-free or available for sale.
- Do not conceal known material facts in order to mislead another member or manipulate market perception.
- Do not pass off stock images, another owner’s photographs or generated illustrations as photographs of the actual vehicle you are documenting.
- Clearly identify reference material where it is permitted. A photograph, tag, featured placement or verification badge does not establish legal ownership or certify a vehicle’s condition, history or value.
Vehicle transactions and private negotiations remain subject to the Garage & Vehicle Policy.
6. Moments and your audience
Where Moments is available, eligible members may share photographs, videos and accompanying text. Access is limited to accounts admitted to Moments; it is not a signed-out public feed.
Choose the audience for each member-authored Moment:
- Only Me: the Moment is visible only to you in the member feed.
- Followers: the Moment is visible to your followers who also have Moments access, subject to blocking and other access restrictions.
- Moments Members: the Moment is visible to eligible Moments members, subject to applicable access restrictions.
The audience for a Moment is separate from your garage, car and valuation privacy settings. Posting a Moment does not change those settings. Platform administration may review content to handle reports and enforce this Policy, as described in our Privacy Policy. Changing an audience or deleting a post cannot recall copies that someone has already made outside DriveGT.
7. Tags, Respect and Save
- Tags: use member and car tags accurately and respectfully. A tag is a reference, not a claim of ownership, consent, endorsement or permission to republish someone else's material.
- Existing privacy: tagging a car or member does not change the tagged garage or car's audience, copy its media into your post or make private information public. Tag availability follows the relevant permissions. Tagged members can remove their own references.
- Respect: Moments does not show public Respect counts or lists. The post author and authorized DriveGT administration can inspect Respect details, so a Respect is not anonymous to the author.
- Save: your saved Moments and your identity as a saver are not shown to the post author or other members. Saving is a personal bookmark, not a licence to copy, redistribute or continue viewing content after access is withdrawn.
8. Replies, messages and offers
Replies to a real member’s Moment use private messaging and remain subject to existing messaging permissions. Replies to system-published Moments are public within the eligible Moments audience, not on the open web. Do not include private or sensitive information in those public replies.
Messages, offers, counter-offers and replies must remain relevant, respectful and non-fraudulent. Do not use them for harassment, sexual content, repeated pressure after rejection, false payment promises, phishing or demands for sensitive documents unrelated to legitimate due diligence.
Do not share another member’s private conversation or confidential transaction details without permission or another lawful basis. DriveGT may restrict activity that breaches this Policy.
9. System publishers and generated material
DriveGT publishes selected editorial Moments through the following system identities. They are publishing profiles, not real members or vehicle owners with garages:
- Open Road: automotive nostalgia, culture and emotional storytelling, with generated illustrations.
- Driver's Journal: selected Daily News material from The Street, with the available source information and credits.
- Driver's Editorial: Nostalgic Stories from The Street and their accompanying illustrations.
System or assisted content can contain mistakes. Generated artwork illustrates a subject; it is not evidence of a real owner, actual event, vehicle condition or historical photograph. Members must not use generated content to fabricate ownership stories, identities, sale urgency, market activity, engagement or vehicle records. A member remains responsible for submitted content even when tools helped prepare it.
10. Content on The Street
The Street combines saved editorial information, community features and external sources. The following distinctions apply:
- Daily News: automotive news summaries and stories. Source material remains subject to its owner's rights; reporting may develop or be corrected.
- Market Pulse: category-level market commentary and Intelligence estimates, not proof of an individual transaction.
- Market Radar: car estimates and historical 1Y, 3Y and 5Y changes. These describe estimated past market movement, not future returns. A separately labelled forecast is a projection, not a guarantee.
- Automotive Calendar: event discovery and descriptions. Check dates, location, entry requirements and current status with the organizer before booking or travelling.
- Featured Garages and Featured Cars: selected community content subject to the relevant visibility settings. Featuring a member or car is not an independent certification of their claims.
- Cars For Sale: member-provided sale information. Check availability, price, ownership, condition and transaction arrangements independently; a feature is not a DriveGT transaction guarantee.
- Car Collector Events: collector-event information with actual event photographs and source or licence credits. Upcoming editions may use genuine photographs from an earlier edition. Confirm current details through the organizer's official website.
- Featured Media: linked or embedded automotive videos and other media. Their creators and external platforms retain their applicable rights and rules.
- Nostalgic Stories: automotive history and culture with illustrative artwork, including generated images. These illustrations must not be presented as authentic archival photographs.
Market values and percentage changes are informational estimates, may be incomplete or inaccurate and may vary by market, currency, date and vehicle condition. They do not replace inspection, professional appraisal or your own checks. Nostalgic Stories has a focused editorial brief covering classic sports cars, sporting youngtimers and sporting hatchbacks of the 1980s and 1990s; that selection does not prohibit members from posting about other relevant cars in Moments or their garages.
11. Media rights, attribution and personal information
Upload only media you own or have the right to share, including any music in a video. A source link or credit does not itself provide permission. Follow the relevant licence conditions and do not remove required attribution.
Do not copy full articles, photographs, videos or other protected material from publishers or members without permission or another lawful basis. Keep quotations and references appropriate to the rights you hold.
Check photographs and videos for people, number plates, addresses, documents and other identifying information before publishing. Metadata removal or conversion does not remove details that are visible or audible in the content.
Do not upload an intimate or private recording without the appropriate permission. Do not use edits or generated media to misrepresent another person, a real vehicle or an event.
12. Moderation and removal
DriveGT may review reports and content, restrict visibility or access, reject submissions, and remove material that breaches this Policy. Authorized administration can remove a Moment published by a member or any system publisher; editorial posts are not exempt from these rules.
Depending on the circumstances, action may also include posting, messaging or offer restrictions, or account suspension or termination. Serious or repeated breaches may lead to stronger action. We may act without prior notice where reasonably necessary to protect people, prevent fraud or address unlawful content.
DriveGT is not required to publish or retain every submission. Relevance, accuracy, rights, safety and the context available may inform a decision. A report does not automatically establish a breach, and removal does not promise that every external copy has been deleted.
13. Reporting content and requesting a review
For a Moment, open its three-dot menu and choose Report Moment. Explain the concern clearly. The report is sent privately to DriveGT administration and is not posted as a public reply.
For other content, a rights complaint, an access issue, or a request to review a moderation decision, use Contact Us or email [email protected].
Include the relevant post or page link, your username, the reason for the report or review request, and supporting information you are entitled to share. For a rights complaint, identify the protected material and your relationship to it. Do not submit unnecessary sensitive documents or knowingly false reports.
DriveGT may request further information and review the context available. Contacting support does not guarantee a particular response time, restoration of removed content or a change to the original decision.
14. Your responsibility
You are responsible for the content you submit and the statements you make. By posting, you confirm that you have the right to share the material, that it does not infringe third-party rights, and that it complies with this Policy.
Use the available editing, deletion, audience and reporting controls responsibly. Do not attempt to evade a restriction by reposting removed material, using another account or manipulating engagement.
The Privacy Policy explains how DriveGT handles personal information. This Content Policy does not replace the Terms & Conditions or change a member's separate garage and vehicle privacy choices.
